EUR Pallet Prices in 2025: The 5 Biggest Price-Influencing Factors

EUR pallets are essential in logistics and warehousing; however, their price varies depending on a number of factors. In 2025, timber industry prices, regulations and the dynamics of supply and demand are again expected to play a decisive role in pricing. If you are planning to buy EUR pallets, it is worth getting to know the key factors that influence prices.

1. Changes in timber prices

As the vast majority of EUR pallets are made of wood, fluctuations in the price of the raw material have a direct impact on the final price. Timber prices can be influenced by forestry regulations, weather conditions and trends in global demand. If timber industry costs increase, EUR pallet prices may also rise.

2. Heat treatment and drying costs

According to international standards, pallets intended for export must undergo heat treatment, which guarantees freedom from pests and complies with ISPM 15 regulations. Drying can be an additional cost, as controlling the moisture content of the pallets is essential for them to retain their structural integrity in the long term. These factors can add to the price of EUR pallets.

3. Quality grading and manufacturing requirements

EUR pallets are manufactured according to strict standards, and compliance with these can increase production costs. Grade 1, as-new EUR pallets are more expensive, while Grade 2 used pallets are available at a more favourable price. It is worth bearing in mind that products from certified manufacturers are guaranteed to meet the requirements, and this is also reflected in the prices.

4. Trends in market supply and demand

Demand for pallets can vary over time. During certain periods, for example the end-of-year logistics peak season, pallet prices can rise significantly. The general economic situation, the state of global trade and industry trends also play a role in how prices develop.

5. Transport and fuel costs

As pallets are bulky products, their transport can involve significant logistics costs. Fluctuations in fuel prices, transport distance and freight charges all affect the final price of a pallet. For larger orders, it is worth calculating transport costs in advance, as these can increase prices by as much as HUF 500–1,000 per unit.

EUR pallet prices can again vary widely in 2025. New, heat-treated and certified EUR pallets may cost between HUF 6,000 and 8,000, while used pallets in good condition may cost around HUF 3,500–5,500.
